Our children and youth program (ages 9-14) encompasses a progressive character development focus while learning Gracie Jiu-jitsu and the Gracie Personal Protection Curriculum. The key benefits of all six major skill-related fitness components are incorporated, making the Grappler’s program a great addition to any young athlete’s overall training and development (i.e. cross training).
Progressing beyond how to recognize, avoid, and escape danger, students develop their stand-up and take-down techniques, while focusing on ground grappling, personal protection (self-defence) and the philosophy of an Active and Healthy Lifestyle (character). Our certified teachers will ensure your child’s concentration, control and confidence dramatically improves, helping them to avoid the confrontation before it occurs. Rest assured, if it happens, they will have the skills to PROTECT themselves!
